Pioneers, once again, Sweet
Something was essentially started by Shilpa Modi who decided to get
into the niche market of manufacturing designer packaging, quite by
accident.
It all started with designing a giveaway gift box as an invitation for
her son's Birthday party. A small piece of art, the creativity of the
box caught the imagination of a number of women who attended the party
and appreciation came in the form of orders.
Shilpa Modi has never looked back. Propelled by the response she received
from her party venture, into setting up her own enterprise. She named
it SWEET SOMETHINGS.
SWEET SOMETHINGS has redefined the meaning of Gift Packaging in India.
In addition it has changed the attitude of the customer towards packaging
as a concept. SS showed people how to bring a metamorphosis into recycled
plastic and convert it into a pièce de resistance.
SS products are client-specific. The prints differ according to the
product or occasion. The textures also match the client need. The environmentally-friendly
products are either in the form of clear, frosted and/or coloured plastic.
They come in designer shapes-moulded to suit the occasion, be it the
birth of a baby, a festival or celebrations of sorts or simply a corporate
gift. Each requirement is custom-made and distinct in design.
SWEET SOMETHINGS prides itself on its exclusive clientele. Some of its
esteemed customers have been, Pyramids at Crossroads, Hallmarks, Croissants,
Famous Grouse Whisky. It has also received recognition in the packaging
industry and the products have won several accolades.
Despite the burgeoning global demand, SWEET SOMETHING believes that
it is imperative to focus on the needs of the domestic market.
